China Cultural Heritage Foundation Donates Books to Confucius Institute Headquarters

On the afternoon of May 26th, the book donation ceremony of the China Cultural Heritage Foundation was held at the Confucius Institute Headquarters. On behalf of the foundation, President Geng Ying donated Chinese cultural classics worth of 100,000 RMB and published by Zhonghua Book Company to the Confucius Institute Headquarters.

President Geng Ying pointed out in her speech that Confucius Institutes bears a sacred mission of spreading the splendid Chinese culture. She hoped that the staff in the headquarters can save their fragmentary time to read more and better books, which, through continuous reading and learning, will help them to deepen and broaden their knowledge and to solve the doubts and troubles in their work and life, so as to better spread the traditional Chinese culture. She also expressed her good wish that Confucius Institutes will flourish and enjoy greater achievements across the world.

He noted that these books will play a significant role in knowing about Chinese culture, learning and spreading Chinese culture for all the staff in both the Confucius Institute Headquarters and the Confucius Institutes in the world.
